Basic Skill Development
Improving Quality of Life
The basic responsibilities and routines of everyday life can be overwhelming for individuals who need psychiatric rehabilitation and active treatment. Our Partial Care Day programs provide adults 18 years or older with training in basic skills for living and integrating in the community. Participants in the programs must demonstrate difficulty in one or more of the following areas:
- Personal self-care
- Interpersonal relationships
- Work
- School
- Ability to live in the community
- Ability to secure and maintain safe affordable housing
- Is at risk of requiring a more restrictive living situation
- Prevent duplication of services
- Avoid potential conflicts between treatments
- Experience a more seamless and coordinated solution
Program Director: Graham Mangini-Harold
Partial Care programs provide a comprehensive treatment program from Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. These programs include services such as group counseling, case management, and medication monitoring. They serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses who require intense psychiatric services, as well as basic self-care and community living skills development to prevent hospital readmissions. Those participating in the program attend three to four days per week. Transportation may be provided.Â

Get a Referral
A referral is required and the individual must meet meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Acute service needed
- One or more screening center or emergency service mental health program contacts
- Two or more inpatient behavioral health program admissions
- A psychiatric hospitalization of three months or longer
What Happens Next?
An intake appointment will be set up after clinical documentation is received from the referring organization. Transportation can be provided if needed.

Our Partial Care Day programs take a trauma-informed approach to provide individuals with the basic life skills they need to succeed at community life. The programs are designed for individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis of one or more of the following:
- Schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders
- Schizoaffective Disorder
- Bipolar Disorders
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Delusional Disorder
- Affective Disorders
- Prevent duplication of services
- Avoid potential conflicts between treatments
- Experience a more seamless and coordinated solution
